Is Farming Easy?
The fact is, there are so many things that can go wrong when it comes to running a farm. But what are these things and how could it effect the way that ordinary people lead their lives?
Family
This is the one for the people on the farms. If you are one of the owners then that is great but the problem is the chances are you are going to be working a lot more than you are spending time with your family. This is a problem as the chances are the rest of your family will not like this. Of course most people will understand this bit it is still going to be hard when you have to perhaps get up in the middle of the night and check something out. Things like level switches can be bought and this will help you because when something like milk is overflowing an alarm will go off meaning you do not have to check it every 5 minutes.
Death
Animals can catch and carry all kinds of diseases and all farmers will know that one of the worst is of course foot and mouth. This is going to cause huge problems for your farm because animals are not cheap to replace and it could end up with you having to shut down the entire farm.
So how is this affecting a person not working on a farm? Well if an important farm starts to suffer so will the things they are producing are going to suffer too. As a nation it would become almost impossible for us to get the milk we need if a few key farms were struck with foot and mouth. No tea, cereal, anything we need milk to cook for. It would be a complete disaster!
So the next time you hear about a farm not having a level switch or level transmitters you should be slightly concerned.
